  1. Important Biblical Counseling Topic 5 Star Review

Posted by on 20th Jul 2015

Brad Bigney is a dynamic and entertaining speaker. In addition to the great presentation, this workshop is one among many that are critically important biblical counseling topics. Pastor Bigney’s message is about parenting in particular but it applies to every area of biblical counseling and life.

Parenting (and all of life) is impossible; you need God! We want a formula or we want parents of great kids to tell us what they did because we are convinced if we do what they did, that we will get the same results.

Desperate parents make the best parents because they cry out to God. Parents and counselors may elicit outward change, but only God can change a heart.

  2. Being Transparent 5 Star Review

I appreciate Brad's openness in sharing the ups and downs of parenting. Those of us who have had a wayward child can certainly empathize with him, and sense the grace of God in Brad's words. The more we give ourselves to the Lord, the more He will use us. Thx Brad for being humble.

  3. Desparate parents are the best parents 5 Star Review

This was a very encouraging session on the true sovereignty of God in saving and raising our children. As with salvation, we are to do our part in raising them but it is God who gives them hearts to follow Him and Him alone. We are to lean on Him wholly, not our 'good' parenting lest we pat ourselves on the back when they turn out well :) or, despair of the Gospel if they do not turn out well.
Great session! Shared it with a Titus 2 group I lead.
