This workshop begins in Genesis 3 with Adam and Eve's sin as well as God's reaction and curse.  Particularly, the curse suggests the wife will want to usurp the authority of the husband and the husband will want to rule forcefully over the wife.  However, Ephesians 5:15-33 details the solution to this dilemma of sin inherent in man’s "DNA”.  In the Spirit, the husband (verse 33) is commanded to love his wife (rather than rule forcefully) and the wife to respect her husband (rather than usurp his authority).  Kevin presents observations from the text with special attention given to personal application as well as communicating the principles of this passage to your counselee.

This is a session from the Biblical Counseling Training Conference hosted by Faith Church in Lafayette, Indiana.
