  1. Good start and overview 4 Star Review

Posted by on 5th Aug 2014

I am so grateful for Steve Viars and the contribution he's made to biblical counseling on the issue of the past. I read "Putting Your Past In It's Place" right after it came out while I was on jury duty on a molestation case. Such an excellent and helpful book.

I purchased this audio to get a quick refresher on the content. If you've read the book, this audio will be a high-level refresher. Steve just does not have the time to get into the details, and certainly not to provide clear examples of how to practically use this perspective in counseling.

If you have not read the book, this will introduce you to a biblical view of the past, and will whet your appetite for more.

If give it four stars not because of the quality of the content (which is 5 stars), but because it is such a brief overview (even at an hour in length). But I highly recommend it!
