When I first read this book, God put it in my heart to pray. Pray specifically for His work to done in my heart regarding friendships, especially in shaping me to learn to love those that He made differently than myself. I focused on doing a few of the tips in this book and but also prayed, knowing this type of shaping comes from God.
Over the years, I praise God to know that He has not left me to myself, but is shaping my heart to desire to continue to learn to love my neighbor as He would have me to. He is shaping this area of my life to become more like His own Son. For this I praise God that He has and continues to use "Getting to the Heart of Friendships" as a tool to help me focus on, pray about, and put into place good habits in loving my neighbor the way God wants me to!

This book was such a joy to read. It answered so many questions that I had. I was even able to use it to write a lesson on friendships for my church's college age/young adult group. This book was a true blessing to read.
