When it comes to a difficult trial, what if God’s best is dependence, rather than deliverance? No one would fault a counselee for praying that God might deliver him from his difficult trial. However, what if he continues to plead for deliverance and it does not happen? What if the counselee will not accept anything other than freedom?  This seminar explores one reason why God designs lingering trials in our lives, what the counselee should pray and how they can lay hold of all God has for them in the midst of their plight.

Stuart Scott teaches at Bob Jones University Seminary. He has over forty years of experience in counseling and pastoral ministry. He is the membership director and a Fellow with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors. Stuart and his wife Zondra and they have two grown children.
