At no other time in history have the pressures to be young, thin and beautiful been stronger. Many women today feel that they have to compete with the air-brushed photographs of the most beautiful women in the world – a competition they’re sure to lose. Women, both young and old, find themselves falling into patterns of self-loathing, vanity, pride, envy, and deadly eating disorders, never making the connection between the life, death and resurrection of the Savior with what they think of themselves and others. This seminar will explain the typical patterns of women entrapped by these behaviors and will offer hope, help and counsel to those who work with them.

This is a session from the Biblical Counseling Training Conference hosted by Faith Church in Lafayette, Indiana.

People are looking for the hope that there are answers for their hurts, their difficulties, and the challenges they face. Since 1985, the Biblical Counseling Training Conference has been equipping ministry professionals and lay leaders to skillfully, confidently, and lovingly minister God's Word to those looking for answers.

You may listen to the first 10 minutes of this session by clicking on the "Preview Excerpt" button above.
