About the speakers:

Steve Viars is the Senior Pastor of Faith Church (Lafayette, IN);  ACBC Fellow and board member; Biblical Counseling Coalition board member; Vision Of Hope board member; instructor and counselor at Faith Biblical Counseling Ministries; married with three children; B.S., Bible, Baptist Bible College (Clarks Summit, PA); M.Div., Grace Theological Seminary; D.Min., Biblical Counseling, Westminster Theological Seminary.

He is the author of Putting Your Past in Its Place; Loving Your Community; Overcoming Bitterness; Do You Believe What God Says about You? as well as several other works.

William Goode (1930–1997) was a long time pastor of Faith Church. Under his leadership the church began a biblical counseling training program, which has resulted in thousands of people being trained to give hope and help from the word of God to hurting people.

Dr. Robert Smith (1929-2021) was a physician; Association of Certified Biblical Counselor’s board member, fellow; and member of the ACBC Academy. Dr. Smith was a conference speaker and co-founder, instructor, and counselor at Faith Biblical Counseling Ministries.  He authored The Christian Counselor’s Medical Desk Reference; Authority Issues; Fibromyalgia; Biblical Principles of Sex; Deacon Training Manual; and Life After Divorce as well as other works.

Dr. Dan Wickert is Vice President of Medical Affairs, Franciscan Health in Lafayette, IN; a Board Certified Physician in Obstetrics and Gynecology; ACBC certified; instructor and counselor at Faith Biblical Counseling Ministries; Vision of Hope board member; Faith Christian School board member; married with two children; B.S., Biology, Bradley University; M.D., University of Illinois.

He is the co-author of Infertility: Comfort for Your Empty Arms and Heavy Heart; Menopause: Help for the Hot and Bothered: and PMS: When It’s That Time of the Month.
